00:00:00 --> 00:00:03
			My brothers and sisters in Islam, all praise

00:00:03 --> 00:00:05
			and thanks belongs to Allah subhanahu wa ta

00:00:05 --> 00:00:07
			'ala and may the peace and blessing of

00:00:07 --> 00:00:10
			Allah be upon his servant and final messenger

00:00:10 --> 00:00:12
			Muhammad salallahu alayhi wasalam.

00:00:13 --> 00:00:15
			In these few minutes that I have with

00:00:15 --> 00:00:17
			you, I wanted to share with you a

00:00:17 --> 00:00:21
			few reflections from Juz al-Dhariyat, more specifically

00:00:21 --> 00:00:23
			from Surah al-Dhariyat.

00:00:23 --> 00:00:26
			But at the very beginning, we all know

00:00:26 --> 00:00:29
			Juz al-Dhariyat in the Qur'an, the

00:00:29 --> 00:00:32
			predominant message of Allah azza wa jal in

00:00:32 --> 00:00:36
			Surah in Juz al-Dhariyat, the central theme

00:00:36 --> 00:00:40
			of Juz al-Dhariyat is discussing the promises

00:00:40 --> 00:00:43
			of Allah azza wa jal, the promises of

00:00:43 --> 00:00:46
			Allah, the inevitable promises of Allah in this

00:00:46 --> 00:00:47
			life and in the afterlife.

00:00:48 --> 00:00:50
			So Allah azza wa jal in this Juz

00:00:50 --> 00:00:53
			he'll speak about the provision of mankind and

00:00:53 --> 00:00:56
			how it's a guaranteed matter, your rizq will

00:00:56 --> 00:00:57
			get to you.

00:00:57 --> 00:00:59
			In Juz al-Dhariyat Allah azza wa jal

00:00:59 --> 00:01:02
			speaks about the promises of the afterlife, the

00:01:02 --> 00:01:04
			day of judgment and how it will unfold.

00:01:05 --> 00:01:07
			He speaks about the paradise and that the

00:01:07 --> 00:01:09
			fact this will be the dwelling of the

00:01:09 --> 00:01:09
			believers.

00:01:10 --> 00:01:13
			He speaks about the hellfire and how this

00:01:13 --> 00:01:16
			is an inevitable fact for the disbelievers and

00:01:16 --> 00:01:18
			those who rejected Allah azza wa jal.

00:01:18 --> 00:01:20
			You see this in Surah al-Dhariyat, in

00:01:20 --> 00:01:22
			Surah al-Tur, in Surah al-Najm, in

00:01:22 --> 00:01:25
			Surah al-Rahman, Surah al-Waqi'ah and

00:01:25 --> 00:01:25
			so on.

00:01:26 --> 00:01:27
			I wanted to share with you a few

00:01:27 --> 00:01:33
			ayat that are found in Surah al-Dhariyat

00:01:33 --> 00:01:34
			itself.

00:01:35 --> 00:01:37
			And brothers and sisters in Islam, before I

00:01:37 --> 00:01:39
			share with you these ayat, the believer should

00:01:39 --> 00:01:43
			question and ask, why does Allah azza wa

00:01:43 --> 00:01:45
			jal always tell us about his promises?

00:01:46 --> 00:01:48
			Why is it important for you and I

00:01:48 --> 00:01:51
			to read Juz al-Dhariyat often and to

00:01:51 --> 00:01:53
			connect with the promises of Allah azza wa

00:01:53 --> 00:01:54
			jal?

00:01:54 --> 00:01:56
			Because when we're reading about the promise of

00:01:56 --> 00:01:58
			Allah, what does that do?

00:01:58 --> 00:02:01
			It prepares us, it helps us prepare for

00:02:01 --> 00:02:03
			the afterlife and the meeting with Allah azza

00:02:03 --> 00:02:04
			wa jal.

00:02:04 --> 00:02:05
			That's what it does.

00:02:06 --> 00:02:07
			So now let me take you to these

00:02:07 --> 00:02:09
			ayat in Surah al-Dhariyat in where Allah

00:02:09 --> 00:02:16
			subhanahu wa ta'ala says, Allah azza wa

00:02:16 --> 00:02:21
			jal, he said, and inna is a word

00:02:21 --> 00:02:24
			in the Arabic language that suggests certainty.

00:02:25 --> 00:02:28
			So whatever comes after inna is a certain

00:02:28 --> 00:02:29
			guaranteed fact.

00:02:30 --> 00:02:33
			Allah azza wa jal, he said, inna, verily,

00:02:33 --> 00:02:38
			certainly, al-muttaqeem, the righteous, the pious, they

00:02:38 --> 00:02:43
			will be immersed and surrounded in gardens and

00:02:43 --> 00:02:44
			in springs.

00:02:45 --> 00:02:47
			That's the paradise that Allah azza wa jal

00:02:47 --> 00:02:49
			promised the believers, Allahu Akbar.

00:02:49 --> 00:02:52
			Who are al-muttaqeem, my brothers and sisters

00:02:52 --> 00:02:52
			in Islam?

00:02:53 --> 00:02:58
			Al-muttaqeem are those who uphold Allah subhanahu

00:02:58 --> 00:02:59
			wa ta'ala's command.

00:03:00 --> 00:03:03
			Anything Allah commanded you to do and you

00:03:03 --> 00:03:06
			do it, that makes you al-muttaqeem, a

00:03:06 --> 00:03:08
			person of taqwa and piety.

00:03:09 --> 00:03:12
			And everything that Allah azza wa jal forbid

00:03:12 --> 00:03:16
			us from and you keep away from, that

00:03:16 --> 00:03:18
			is what makes a person al-muttaqeem.

00:03:19 --> 00:03:22
			So al-taqwa is to do what Allah

00:03:22 --> 00:03:25
			azza wa jal commanded, hoping for his reward

00:03:25 --> 00:03:28
			and to keep away from what Allah subhanahu

00:03:28 --> 00:03:31
			wa ta'ala forbid, fearing his punishment.

00:03:32 --> 00:03:33
			This is al-taqwa.

00:03:34 --> 00:03:36
			Brothers and sisters in Islam, the question is,

00:03:37 --> 00:03:41
			how can a person remain steadfast and patient

00:03:41 --> 00:03:42
			upon al-taqwa?

00:03:42 --> 00:03:43
			How?

00:03:43 --> 00:03:45
			Is there something that will enable us to

00:03:45 --> 00:03:49
			remain patient upon the commandments of Allah azza

00:03:49 --> 00:03:49
			wa jal?

00:03:51 --> 00:03:55
			Getting up every single day five times and

00:03:55 --> 00:03:58
			offering as-salat five times a day and

00:03:58 --> 00:04:01
			fasting your Ramadan and giving the obligatory zakat

00:04:01 --> 00:04:03
			and doing the deeds Allah azza wa jal

00:04:03 --> 00:04:05
			wants you to do, that requires a lot

00:04:05 --> 00:04:06
			of patience.

00:04:07 --> 00:04:10
			And abstaining from al-haram, especially with social

00:04:10 --> 00:04:13
			media in the hands of people and the

00:04:13 --> 00:04:16
			opportunity for haram has become rampant and widespread.

00:04:16 --> 00:04:19
			How can a person continue to find strength

00:04:19 --> 00:04:22
			in remaining patient away from al-haram?

00:04:23 --> 00:04:25
			And then also we have the many calamities

00:04:25 --> 00:04:27
			and difficulties in life.

00:04:27 --> 00:04:30
			How does a person remain steadfast and patient

00:04:30 --> 00:04:31
			during these times?

00:04:32 --> 00:04:38
			The answer is in the words, that you

00:04:38 --> 00:04:42
			always focus on the jannat wa uyun, focus

00:04:42 --> 00:04:43
			on Allah's promise.

00:04:44 --> 00:04:47
			When I know, when I know that if

00:04:47 --> 00:04:49
			I was to pray five times a day,

00:04:49 --> 00:04:52
			Allah would reward me with jannat wa uyun,

00:04:53 --> 00:04:55
			it makes as-salat easy.

00:04:56 --> 00:04:59
			When I know every time I'm tempted to

00:04:59 --> 00:05:01
			do a sin but I keep away from

00:05:01 --> 00:05:04
			it in hope that Allah grants me al

00:05:04 --> 00:05:08
			-jannat wa uyun, I will be able to

00:05:08 --> 00:05:10
			remain patient and keep away from al-haram.

00:05:11 --> 00:05:13
			When I'm struggling in this worldly life through

00:05:13 --> 00:05:17
			its various tests and calamities and trials and

00:05:17 --> 00:05:23
			difficulties, right, people experience so many difficulties, relationship

00:05:23 --> 00:05:26
			problems, health problems, financially related problems.

00:05:27 --> 00:05:29
			But if I know that at the end

00:05:29 --> 00:05:32
			of all these patients I will have jannat

00:05:32 --> 00:05:36
			wa uyun, gardens, not just one jannah, jannat,

00:05:36 --> 00:05:40
			gardens, wa uyun and many springs, then I'm

00:05:40 --> 00:05:43
			able to remain patient upon the tests and

00:05:43 --> 00:05:45
			the trials that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala

00:05:45 --> 00:05:47
			will send my way in this worldly life.

00:05:48 --> 00:05:52
			Brothers and sisters in Islam, believing in the

00:05:52 --> 00:05:57
			afterlife, believing in the promises of Allah makes

00:05:57 --> 00:06:01
			the tests in this worldly life bearable and

00:06:01 --> 00:06:02
			easy for the believer.

00:06:03 --> 00:06:06
			Worshipping Allah is a test, Allah is testing

00:06:06 --> 00:06:06
			your faith.

00:06:07 --> 00:06:09
			Keeping away from the sins is a test,

00:06:09 --> 00:06:11
			Allah is testing your faith towards Him.

00:06:12 --> 00:06:15
			And saying inna lillahi wa inna ilayha raji

00:06:15 --> 00:06:18
			'oon, walhamdulillah in times of difficulty and calamity,

00:06:18 --> 00:06:20
			these are also tests, Allah azza wa jall

00:06:20 --> 00:06:23
			is testing your steadfastness in these moments.

00:06:24 --> 00:06:26
			So inna al-muttaqina fee jannatin wa uyun,

00:06:26 --> 00:06:28
			and we have many examples in the Qur

00:06:28 --> 00:06:30
			'an and in our salaf and in our

00:06:30 --> 00:06:32
			sahaba to show us how this is done.

00:06:32 --> 00:06:34
			If you looked at the case of Asiya,

00:06:36 --> 00:06:39
			the wife of Fir'aun, can you imagine,

00:06:39 --> 00:06:42
			the wife of Fir'aun, she's living in

00:06:42 --> 00:06:46
			his palace, and this person was a tyrant

00:06:46 --> 00:06:48
			on another level the world has never witnessed

00:06:48 --> 00:06:49
			and seen before.

00:06:50 --> 00:06:53
			And he would persecute and torture his people,

00:06:54 --> 00:06:57
			and when they were torturing, when his army

00:06:57 --> 00:07:01
			were torturing his wife Asiya for her belief

00:07:01 --> 00:07:04
			in Allah, the question is how did this

00:07:04 --> 00:07:07
			woman remain stable and steadfast upon her deen,

00:07:07 --> 00:07:07
			how?

00:07:09 --> 00:07:11
			It is found in her dua that she

00:07:11 --> 00:07:11
			made.

00:07:12 --> 00:07:20
			As she's being tortured, she was saying, she

00:07:20 --> 00:07:24
			would say, my lord, build me, me, you,

00:07:24 --> 00:07:25
			a house.

00:07:26 --> 00:07:27
			You see where her eyes were?

00:07:27 --> 00:07:29
			Her eyes were on the house in the

00:07:29 --> 00:07:31
			paradise, her eye was on the promise of

00:07:31 --> 00:07:33
			Allah azza wa jall, and she was able

00:07:33 --> 00:07:38
			to remain steadfast, firm and patient, unwavering in

00:07:38 --> 00:07:40
			her iman and in her faith in Allah

00:07:40 --> 00:07:44
			azza wa jall, despite the immense torture she

00:07:44 --> 00:07:47
			suffered under the hands of her husband Fir

00:07:47 --> 00:07:47
			'aun.

00:07:48 --> 00:07:49
			You see this?

00:07:52 --> 00:07:55
			And she mentioned Allah before the house.

00:07:56 --> 00:07:59
			She didn't say, my lord, build me a

00:07:59 --> 00:08:00
			house, me, you.

00:08:01 --> 00:08:04
			She said, build me, me, you, a house.

00:08:05 --> 00:08:07
			Allah azza wa jall is the goal, Allah

00:08:07 --> 00:08:09
			azza wa jall is the purpose in life.

00:08:10 --> 00:08:12
			When that is your vision, and this is

00:08:12 --> 00:08:13
			what you're working for, and this is what

00:08:13 --> 00:08:18
			you're living for, every test becomes easy, and

00:08:18 --> 00:08:22
			every obligation becomes easy to do, and every

00:08:22 --> 00:08:25
			sin, it becomes simple upon the believer to

00:08:25 --> 00:08:27
			abstain and keep away from.

00:08:28 --> 00:08:32
			You find also in the case of Ghazwat

00:08:32 --> 00:08:35
			Uhud, there was a companion, Anas ibn An

00:08:35 --> 00:08:38
			-Nabr, he's on the battlefield.

00:08:39 --> 00:08:41
			That takes a lot of courage to be

00:08:41 --> 00:08:43
			on the battlefield, fighting the disbelievers, the enemy

00:08:43 --> 00:08:46
			of Allah azza wa jall, takes a lot

00:08:46 --> 00:08:46
			of courage.

00:08:47 --> 00:08:50
			So he steps on the battlefield, and he

00:08:50 --> 00:08:55
			says, وَهَلِّ رِيحِ الْجَنَّةِ إِنِّي لَأَجِدُ رِيحَهَا دُونَ

00:08:55 --> 00:08:59
			أُحَدٌ He said, in a moment where he

00:08:59 --> 00:09:02
			can smell something, he said to the companions

00:09:02 --> 00:09:04
			around him, I smell the fragrance of the

00:09:04 --> 00:09:07
			paradise, and he didn't see the paradise with

00:09:07 --> 00:09:10
			his eye, he can smell something with his

00:09:10 --> 00:09:14
			nose, and he went forward, and he fought

00:09:14 --> 00:09:16
			until he was martyred.

00:09:17 --> 00:09:19
			His sister then picked him up, she couldn't

00:09:19 --> 00:09:21
			even recognize his body.

00:09:21 --> 00:09:25
			He had about 80 stab wounds and spears

00:09:25 --> 00:09:27
			that had entered into his body.

00:09:28 --> 00:09:30
			And at that occasion, Allah azza wa jall

00:09:30 --> 00:09:35
			revealed, مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللَّهَ

00:09:35 --> 00:09:38
			عَلَيْهِ From among the believers, there are people

00:09:38 --> 00:09:41
			that were true to what they promised Allah

00:09:41 --> 00:09:41
			azza wa jall.

00:09:42 --> 00:09:45
			We promised لا إله إلا الله, we need

00:09:45 --> 00:09:47
			to abide by this promise until we see

00:09:47 --> 00:09:50
			Allah, and until we meet the reward that

00:09:50 --> 00:09:51
			He has promised us.

00:09:51 --> 00:09:53
			That's how you can get along in life,

00:09:53 --> 00:09:57
			that's how you can get through life, by

00:09:57 --> 00:10:00
			always focusing on جَنَّاتٍ وَعْيُونٍ What a beautiful

00:10:00 --> 00:10:05
			ayah, إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعْيُونٍ You want

00:10:05 --> 00:10:09
			to remain steadfast upon التقوى والإيمان, keep your

00:10:09 --> 00:10:13
			eyes focused on الجَنَّات وَعْيُونِ الله أكبر, today,

00:10:14 --> 00:10:21
			today, النفس, نفس of mankind desires to enter

00:10:21 --> 00:10:26
			a garden full of lush and greenery, and

00:10:26 --> 00:10:28
			we desire to look at rivers and oceans,

00:10:29 --> 00:10:30
			this is a desire for the human eye,

00:10:31 --> 00:10:37
			we find peace and tranquility, imagine then Allah

00:10:37 --> 00:10:41
			is telling us about جَنَّاتٍ وَعْيُونٍ That is

00:10:41 --> 00:10:44
			مَا لَا عَيْنٌ رَأَتْ وَلَا أُذُنٌ سَمِعَتْ وَلَا

00:10:44 --> 00:10:48
			خَطَرَ عَلَىٰ قَلْبِ بَشَطٍ The gardens and the

00:10:48 --> 00:10:50
			rivers in the paradise is something the eye

00:10:50 --> 00:10:53
			has never seen, the ear has never heard

00:10:53 --> 00:10:57
			of, and the human mind can never comprehend

00:10:57 --> 00:10:57
			or imagine.

00:10:58 --> 00:11:05
			الله أكبر إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ وَعْيُونٍ Allah

00:11:05 --> 00:11:09
			عز و جل then, He says آخِذِينَ مَا

00:11:09 --> 00:11:14
			آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ So these believers have entered the

00:11:14 --> 00:11:18
			paradise, have enjoyed الجَنَّات وَعْيُونٍ and Allah عز

00:11:18 --> 00:11:20
			و جل says about them, He says something

00:11:20 --> 00:11:24
			about their attitude in the paradise, He said

00:11:24 --> 00:11:26
			they will take whatever their Lord has given

00:11:26 --> 00:11:30
			them, whatever Allah gives you of الحور of

00:11:30 --> 00:11:35
			mansions, of castles, of fruit, whatever He gives

00:11:35 --> 00:11:37
			them in the paradise, they will take and

00:11:37 --> 00:11:38
			say الحمد لله.

00:11:39 --> 00:11:42
			But I want you to understand this, آخِذِينَ

00:11:42 --> 00:11:47
			مَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ It implies that this was

00:11:47 --> 00:11:50
			their situation in this worldly life, you see

00:11:50 --> 00:11:55
			this آخِذِينَ مَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ, it implies contentment,

00:11:55 --> 00:11:58
			that the believers in the paradise were content

00:11:58 --> 00:12:00
			with what Allah gave them, they took it

00:12:00 --> 00:12:03
			and they never complained, you know why?

00:12:03 --> 00:12:06
			Because that's how their attitude was in this

00:12:06 --> 00:12:09
			worldly life, in this life they were content

00:12:09 --> 00:12:12
			with what Allah gave them, of health and

00:12:12 --> 00:12:16
			wealth and blessings, they didn't say Oh Allah

00:12:16 --> 00:12:19
			I worship you day and night yet my

00:12:19 --> 00:12:21
			rizq is still limited and restricted, why?

00:12:22 --> 00:12:25
			No they didn't do this, they did not

00:12:25 --> 00:12:28
			look around and say Oh Allah such and

00:12:28 --> 00:12:30
			such person is a sinner, he's a مفسد,

00:12:30 --> 00:12:33
			he's a corrupt person on earth and you've

00:12:33 --> 00:12:34
			given him so much, why?

00:12:35 --> 00:12:39
			They weren't like this آخِذِينَ مَا آتَاهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ

00:12:40 --> 00:12:43
			They were content with what Allah gave them,

00:12:44 --> 00:12:46
			of their spouses, whatever Allah gave you of

00:12:46 --> 00:12:49
			children Alhamdulillah, what Allah gave you of a

00:12:49 --> 00:12:52
			spouse Alhamdulillah, what Allah has given you of

00:12:52 --> 00:12:55
			jobs Alhamdulillah, what Allah has given you of

00:12:55 --> 00:12:59
			provision Alhamdulillah, be content, train the heart upon

00:12:59 --> 00:13:02
			contentment because the believer when he enters the

00:13:02 --> 00:13:07
			paradise his behavior in this worldly life will

00:13:07 --> 00:13:09
			show in the afterlife, he'll be content with

00:13:09 --> 00:13:13
			what Allah gives That's a major major quality

00:13:13 --> 00:13:15
			that should reside in the heart of believers,

00:13:16 --> 00:13:21
			contentment, brothers and sisters in Islam be content

00:13:21 --> 00:13:23
			with everything Allah gave you except for two

00:13:23 --> 00:13:28
			things, be content with everything Allah gave you

00:13:28 --> 00:13:32
			except with two things, that is knowledge and

00:13:32 --> 00:13:36
			worship, never ever be content with where your

00:13:36 --> 00:13:39
			knowledge is today, always strive to increase your

00:13:39 --> 00:13:42
			knowledge and gain more and more and never

00:13:42 --> 00:13:45
			be content with your worship, no matter where

00:13:45 --> 00:13:48
			your worship is every day there is an

00:13:48 --> 00:13:51
			opportunity for you and I to improve, every

00:13:51 --> 00:13:53
			Salat we pray there's an opportunity for you

00:13:53 --> 00:13:55
			and I to improve, don't be content with

00:13:55 --> 00:13:58
			these two matters, that's why from everything in

00:13:58 --> 00:14:00
			this worldly life the very one thing in

00:14:00 --> 00:14:04
			Nabi ﷺ would always ask Allah to increase

00:14:04 --> 00:14:13
			him in was knowledge Allah Azzawajal he says

00:14:13 --> 00:14:17
			about the believers much before this, meaning much

00:14:17 --> 00:14:20
			before they had entered the paradise in this

00:14:20 --> 00:14:27
			worldly life they were they practiced Ihsan in

00:14:27 --> 00:14:29
			their worship and in their jobs and in

00:14:29 --> 00:14:33
			their actions and in their words Muhsineen, what

00:14:33 --> 00:14:37
			is Ihsan brothers and sisters in Islam, Ihsan

00:14:37 --> 00:14:39
			is to worship Allah as though you can

00:14:39 --> 00:14:42
			see him and if you cannot see him

00:14:42 --> 00:14:44
			then you are very sure that he ﷺ

00:14:44 --> 00:14:50
			can see you brothers and sisters in Islam

00:14:50 --> 00:14:56
			how does a person enhance his Ihsan, how

00:14:56 --> 00:14:58
			can we reach the level of Ihsan which

00:14:58 --> 00:15:01
			is a great level of the Muttaqeen, how

00:15:01 --> 00:15:03
			do we do so in the next ayah

00:15:03 --> 00:15:13
			Allah Azzawajal tells us these Muhsineen the

00:15:13 --> 00:15:16
			quality of this that made them and enabled

00:15:16 --> 00:15:18
			them to reach the level of Ihsan which

00:15:18 --> 00:15:22
			is a high level of Iman was that

00:15:22 --> 00:15:26
			they would sleep a little at night, they

00:15:26 --> 00:15:30
			would sleep a little at night a very

00:15:30 --> 00:15:33
			incredible powerful language Allah did not say they

00:15:33 --> 00:15:36
			prayed a lot at night he spoke nothing

00:15:36 --> 00:15:40
			about their Salat pay attention he said they

00:15:40 --> 00:15:44
			slept a little at night why there's three

00:15:44 --> 00:15:48
			things to reflect over here number one Allah

00:15:48 --> 00:15:53
			is praising their sleep he is praising their

00:15:53 --> 00:15:57
			sleep and if Allah is praising something that

00:15:57 --> 00:16:01
			means it's an action Allah loves so why

00:16:01 --> 00:16:05
			is Allah praising their sleep because they slept

00:16:05 --> 00:16:09
			with an intention of resting this body for

00:16:09 --> 00:16:11
			a couple of hours then I will get

00:16:11 --> 00:16:14
			up and pray at night so now their

00:16:14 --> 00:16:17
			sleep was praised and it was loved by

00:16:17 --> 00:16:20
			Allah and pay attention he did not say

00:16:20 --> 00:16:29
			you know the word means to sleep also

00:16:29 --> 00:16:33
			means to sleep but there's something extra in

00:16:33 --> 00:16:36
			the word it refers to the sleep at

00:16:36 --> 00:16:44
			the beginning of the night so Allah Azawajal

00:16:44 --> 00:16:46
			praised the fact that they slept at the

00:16:46 --> 00:16:49
			very beginning of the night why did they

00:16:49 --> 00:16:51
			sleep at the beginning of the night because

00:16:51 --> 00:16:53
			they know the last part of the night

00:16:53 --> 00:16:56
			is a very virtuous time how can a

00:16:56 --> 00:16:58
			believer sleep the end of the night when

00:16:58 --> 00:17:00
			he knows that Allah comes down to the

00:17:00 --> 00:17:06
			first heaven and he asks is there anyone

00:17:06 --> 00:17:08
			that is requesting anything from me so I

00:17:08 --> 00:17:10
			can give him is there anyone that is

00:17:10 --> 00:17:13
			bothered and choked by his sins that wants

00:17:13 --> 00:17:16
			to seek my forgiveness and I will forgive

00:17:16 --> 00:17:19
			him is there anyone that has any need

00:17:19 --> 00:17:24
			brothers anyone have any need is anyone in

00:17:24 --> 00:17:28
			a health dilemma in a financial dilemma in

00:17:28 --> 00:17:31
			a very bad situation when it comes to

00:17:31 --> 00:17:35
			his relationship with his wife and children Allah

00:17:35 --> 00:17:37
			is calling at that last third of the

00:17:37 --> 00:17:42
			night get up and ask and he's not

00:17:42 --> 00:17:44
			just saying ask he's saying I will give

00:17:44 --> 00:17:47
			I will give you well I believe my

00:17:47 --> 00:17:50
			brothers and sisters in Islam the vast majority

00:17:50 --> 00:17:53
			of our problems still remain with us because

00:17:53 --> 00:17:57
			we haven't taken advantage of this time Allah

00:17:57 --> 00:17:59
			praised their sleep at the beginning of the

00:17:59 --> 00:18:04
			night because they are intending to get up

00:18:04 --> 00:18:06
			at the end of it then Allah did

00:18:06 --> 00:18:10
			not say that they pray at night he

00:18:10 --> 00:18:12
			didn't say anything about salat he just said

00:18:12 --> 00:18:14
			they sleep at the beginning of the night

00:18:14 --> 00:18:17
			that is so that he can conceal their

00:18:17 --> 00:18:22
			deed which implies sincerity they were sincere about

00:18:22 --> 00:18:26
			their deeds and this is a moment to

00:18:26 --> 00:18:33
			practice ihsan in your life Wallahi brothers and

00:18:33 --> 00:18:36
			sisters in Islam imagine today here in London

00:18:36 --> 00:18:39
			Al-Isha is at 6 p.m imagine

00:18:39 --> 00:18:41
			you slept at 6 and you slept I

00:18:41 --> 00:18:43
			know I know no one does this no

00:18:43 --> 00:18:45
			one does this but let's just say for

00:18:45 --> 00:18:48
			example let's say you slept at seven max

00:18:48 --> 00:18:51
			eight o'clock you slept at eight you

00:18:51 --> 00:18:54
			slept eight nine ten eleven twelve one and

00:18:54 --> 00:18:56
			two and you got up at two o

00:18:56 --> 00:18:59
			'clock you slept six hours and you got

00:18:59 --> 00:19:01
			up and you have the rest up until

00:19:01 --> 00:19:04
			6 a.m till adhan and fajr to

00:19:04 --> 00:19:09
			worship Allah you know some people ask how

00:19:09 --> 00:19:11
			can it even be possible to sleep a

00:19:11 --> 00:19:14
			little and then find the energy to continue

00:19:14 --> 00:19:16
			the rest of the day until the night

00:19:16 --> 00:19:19
			al-barakah brothers and sisters in Islam wallahi

00:19:19 --> 00:19:22
			al-barakah one hour that you sleep at

00:19:22 --> 00:19:24
			the beginning of the night is equivalent to

00:19:24 --> 00:19:26
			hours that you sleep at the end of

00:19:26 --> 00:19:29
			the night that's the secret this is how

00:19:29 --> 00:19:32
			the muhsinin used to achieve this type of

00:19:32 --> 00:19:35
			salat at night and this is the secret

00:19:35 --> 00:19:38
			Allah azawajal alludes and gives our attention to

00:19:38 --> 00:19:40
			saying yahja'oon to sleep at the beginning

00:19:40 --> 00:19:43
			of the night then wallahi four or five

00:19:43 --> 00:19:46
			hours would be enough for the body to

00:19:46 --> 00:19:49
			rest and you make the most of the

00:19:49 --> 00:19:52
			night afterwards then the third thing in this

00:19:52 --> 00:19:54
			ayah Allah did not say that they prayed

00:19:54 --> 00:19:57
			at night he didn't say anything about salat

00:19:57 --> 00:20:00
			we said number one because he's concealing their

00:20:00 --> 00:20:02
			deed number two he did not limit it

00:20:02 --> 00:20:05
			to salat it's open to many other worships

00:20:05 --> 00:20:07
			you get up you pray you read al

00:20:07 --> 00:20:11
			-quran adh-dhikr ad-dua even woman the

00:20:11 --> 00:20:15
			woman that is menstruating it is recommended for

00:20:15 --> 00:20:18
			her also to get up and observe that

00:20:18 --> 00:20:21
			blessed part of the night in dua in

00:20:21 --> 00:20:24
			dhikr in something that she's able to do

00:20:24 --> 00:20:28
			of the worships the doors open for everyone

00:20:32 --> 00:20:35
			I'm going to conclude by bringing your attention

00:20:35 --> 00:20:37
			to something very important in terms of what

00:20:37 --> 00:20:40
			you can make the most of when it

00:20:40 --> 00:20:43
			comes to the night wallahi my brothers and

00:20:43 --> 00:20:45
			sisters in islam let me give you this

00:20:45 --> 00:20:51
			you know the most beloved deed to Allah

00:20:51 --> 00:20:54
			azawajal is as-sujood right we all know

00:20:54 --> 00:20:58
			this this is the closest Allah will be

00:20:58 --> 00:21:00
			to a slave when he's in as-sujood

00:21:00 --> 00:21:05
			Allah loves this position from the entire salat

00:21:05 --> 00:21:07
			the most beloved position to Allah is in

00:21:07 --> 00:21:10
			as-sujood because your body is prostrating to

00:21:10 --> 00:21:12
			Allah and your tongue is praising Allah azawajal

00:21:12 --> 00:21:14
			is a worship on a different level as

00:21:14 --> 00:21:20
			-sujood I show you this if we lived

00:21:20 --> 00:21:23
			60 years on earth for example 60 years

00:21:23 --> 00:21:27
			then out of 60 years let's say you

00:21:27 --> 00:21:30
			prayed five times a day and nothing more

00:21:30 --> 00:21:35
			just the wajibat you would have made 17

00:21:35 --> 00:21:39
			there's 17 sujood or there's 17 rakat in

00:21:39 --> 00:21:41
			the five daily prayers and every rakat has

00:21:41 --> 00:21:45
			two sujood that's 34 34 sujood in one

00:21:45 --> 00:21:48
			day if you're just praying the right if

00:21:48 --> 00:21:50
			you live 60 years take the first 10

00:21:50 --> 00:21:54
			years out 50 years you would have made

00:21:54 --> 00:21:56
			right this is in one if you pray

00:21:56 --> 00:22:01
			30 34 sujood every day let's say you

00:22:01 --> 00:22:04
			took 10 seconds in your sujood people don't

00:22:04 --> 00:22:05
			do 10 seconds they do six not like

00:22:05 --> 00:22:08
			that three four let's say you took 10

00:22:08 --> 00:22:12
			seconds in every sujood 10 seconds 34 sujoods

00:22:12 --> 00:22:15
			a day that will equal to about six

00:22:15 --> 00:22:18
			minutes of sujood a day if you pray

00:22:18 --> 00:22:22
			one whole year that's equal to 1.5

00:22:22 --> 00:22:26
			days of sujood in 50 years of your

00:22:26 --> 00:22:30
			life it will equal about 75 days of

00:22:30 --> 00:22:35
			sujood 0.3 percent of your life was

00:22:35 --> 00:22:39
			spent in sujood are we ready to stand

00:22:39 --> 00:22:46
			before allah having dedicated 0.3 percent of

00:22:46 --> 00:22:49
			our life in the most beloved deed to

00:22:49 --> 00:22:53
			allah i don't think anyone is ready so

00:22:53 --> 00:22:56
			what is the solution the solution is as

00:22:56 --> 00:23:05
			allah said and from the night prostrate to

00:23:05 --> 00:23:08
			him prolong your sujood in as-salat at

00:23:08 --> 00:23:11
			night the night prayer is an opportunity to

00:23:11 --> 00:23:14
			make up for this sujood so that you

00:23:14 --> 00:23:17
			meet allah azza wa jal having done a

00:23:17 --> 00:23:19
			lot of the most beloved deed to him

00:23:19 --> 00:23:22
			subhanahu wa ta'ala and so at night

00:23:22 --> 00:23:26
			in your sujood prolong five minutes no problems

00:23:26 --> 00:23:28
			get used to it maybe you want to

00:23:28 --> 00:23:31
			start with one minute sujood increase it to

00:23:31 --> 00:23:33
			two until you increase it until wallahi there

00:23:33 --> 00:23:35
			was a sheikh that spoke about a person

00:23:35 --> 00:23:38
			in al-masjid al-haram he said wallahi

00:23:38 --> 00:23:41
			i finished my umrah and i sat next

00:23:41 --> 00:23:44
			to someone who made a sajda for 40

00:23:44 --> 00:23:47
			minutes he did not raise his head which

00:23:47 --> 00:23:49
			sheikh said to himself by allah if he

00:23:49 --> 00:23:52
			wasn't enjoying his sujood he wouldn't have spent

00:23:52 --> 00:23:55
			40 minutes in it but this is how

00:23:55 --> 00:23:59
			we enhance our worship and always keep your

00:23:59 --> 00:24:03
			focus visualizing jannah and that should increase your

00:24:03 --> 00:24:07
			strength and patience upon worshiping allah subhanahu wa

00:24:07 --> 00:24:07
			ta'ala
